Slovenia is a very special place. In a relatively small area you can find different streams that are full of interesting fish species. in Slovenia, there lives marble trout, brown trout, grayling, huchen, pike, rainbow trout and many other fly fishing species.
Marble trout is one of the most interesting fly fishing species that live in Slovenia. Season starts on April 1st and lasts until September 30th. Marble trout lives only in streams of the Adriatic basin. You need to fish for it in the rivers, that flow into the Adriatic Sea. Best method is fly fishing with nymphs but somewhere also spin fishing is allowed. In our opinion best river rivers for fishing for marble trout are Vipava, Soča, Reka and Rižana.
